Introduction Cambridge Junction Historic StatePark is the site of WalkerTavern, a major stopping place for stagecoaches traveling between Detroitand Chicago in the early nineteenth century. The visitor center and restoredtavern with period furniture tell the story of taverns and stagecoach travelfor early Michigan residents. This site is operated in cooperation with the Department of History, Arts and Libraries which is responsible for staffing the site with interpreters.
